Today they have dared to publish this false story suggesting that I, Sarbajit Roy, National Convenor INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION, am in favour of saving all the misuser traders in residential colonies via rules to regulate them. Nothing can be further than the truth.
Extracts from my written submissions to DDA's Board of Enuiry and Hearing are reproduced below from which it will be clear that the Times of India (English edition) is completely sold out to land mafia and politician classes who are making fast bucks from desperate people who are being sealed and who are polarising the voters for the forthcoming mini-elections of 20 MLA seats of disqualified AAP netas.
Being a resident of Defence Colony I had specifically written / objected
6. That being an unfortunate resident of Bhisham Pitamah Marg (Zone D) which was notified as MLU despite my objections, I convey that DDA rogues has made our life into hell, the roads are broken, noisy especially at night when trucks are unloaded, and air quality is awful. Because there is no parking for the shopkeepers and customers they even do triple parking leading to throttling of this road at all times. Because of lack of parking the traders have simply broken the footpaths of the internal colony roads and converted these to their vehicle parking areas with no space for pedestrians to walk safely. This shows that DDA is rightly renamed as "Delhi Destruction Authority" by Hon'ble SC justices.
So this shows that ToI are past masters of FAKE NEWS and deliberate misreporting.

13) That such obnoxious policy changes with large scale implications cannot be made, in law, by the Authority but must be made by the Central Govt only. It is therefore not clear how / why the Authority has approved such proposals of the Central Govt, when by law it is the Central Government which is to approve modifications of the Authority. Something is very wrong and suspicious in the procedure being adopted here. It seems to me, and undoubtably to other experts also, that this wrong procedure has been deliberately adopted to save misusers and to grant them huge FAR increases at a pittance/ throwaway rate for undisclosed black money / illegal gratifications. ...
14) That it seems to us that certain highly placed persons, who may very well even be the Chairman of DDA or the Minister or Secretary or Jt. Secretary (UT/Delhi Division) of the concerned Ministry or yourself have been massively corrupted to notify these proposed draft modifications to save misusers from action under the law. The INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION protests against all such corrupt persons acting in criminal conspiracy to buy time for the misusers and save their illegal usage properties from penal action.

20) That such extensive proposed modifications with extensive impacts on environment, traffic, safety, urban skyline, aesthetics, infrastructure, pollution, pedestrianisation, lad density, population density, etc, seems to have been done in great and suspicious haste to save a particular community of traders who are very well known for corrupting Govt officers and who are the prime cause of corruption in Delhi and India which Hon'ble Prime Minister and the Cabinet Secretary have vowed to stamp out from Indian polity. All such misuser persons should be first statutorily ejected from Delhi instead of being regularized in-situ without any MONITORING of their activities required before such proposals are made.
PRAYERS
1) That these proposed modifications be scrapped immediately
2) That the complete and proper monitoring studies and prosecution records of all these individual misusers should be provided to the Commissioner (Planning) and also to other competent authorities for sealing / demolition action under the prescribed rules.
3) That these misuser persons should be penalised at least 10 times the commercial land circle rates for their past and ongoing misuse before they are allowed to even participate in this public proceedings.

7) That since these matters seem presently to be sub-judice before the Hon'ble Supreme Court and other courts, that I not be subverted / inveigled into these matters and be made complicit in assenting to the corrupt actions of the corrupt Govt officers who have refrained from taking prescribed demolition actions and who have issued this impugned notice to save their own skins and earn massive amounts of illegal gratification/s.
