Bad planning of Demonetisation exercise and bad timings of GST introduction have resulted in setback to economy that has not been denied by PM. Pm has to defend the actions of the Govt with elections in many states approaching. Economy may rise again as forecast by PM, whether forecast will mature only time will tell. Now the GDP will start increasing from the lower base to which it has fallen, at least full one year of development will be lost by the time it does.
No one is denying that none of the objectives of DE-MO stated in PM's speech of 8th Nov 16 have been achieved. Govt is trying to salvage some thing from the Data coming out of analysis of the deposits of old notes. The outcome, if any, will be only a fraction of the results that were originally anticipated, and the same will be subjected to litigations for next two decades.
Govt is talking of some side benefits of De-Mo over long term, which again only time will tell as to how far the same will accrue.
PM is an excellent orator and Jaitley a good lawyer. The combination is capable of projecting any failure as success and any lie as a truth.

After promising a 'New India' and 'Make in India', over the last three years the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has totally crippled the Indian economy landing the country into sheer Economic chaos.
