NEED FOR CODE OF CONDUCT FOR JUDGES AND CBI DIRECTOR
When the present CBI Director was accused of having met privately the people who were being investigated by CBI , the gentleman confirmed that he met them and simply asked as to
what was wrong in it ?
When the former Chief Justice of Supreme Court who retired just four months back was appointed as the Governor of Kerala which raised eyebrows, the gentleman asked what was wrong in it.
Obviously, very senior positions of trust are now being devalued by the occupants, leaving the common man like me wonder as to who could be trusted .
It is sad that these days , judges unhesitatingly share public platform with politicians, bureaucrats and business men who are facing charges of corruption and criminal acts. Many judges readily accept invitations to attend meetings and programmes which have nothing to do with judicial matter . Some time back, Chief Justice of Madras High Court called on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to discuss about some administrative matters , though the politician is involved in court cases. In the earlier days, when the country and judges had better public standards, judges used to avoid even attending the wedding receptions of friends and distant relatives, so that they would not be seen in the company of people with doubtful integrity.
Now, the question is who would prescribe the code of conduct for judges , when the judges themselves do not seem to appreciate the need for it.
If the chief of the premier investigating agency would justify his meeting the people in private who are being investigated , then what sort of standards can be expected from such investigating agency.

The way our PM has been working corruption will be reduced. It will be reduced by high tech. Bank a/c for every body, restriction on the appointment of relatives as PA to MP/representative of MP/minister are also work against this direction. Pl wait. In 100 days corruption reduced by 0.5 percent. MKMahan

Most political class and government servants thrive on corruption. Who will join politics if there is no serious profit, ditto for babus.
From where to get selfless leaders.
I fear that entire establishment will try to neutralise our honest PM.
Lalu nitish mulayam maya mamta and the likes will all unite to again fool the public and work against honesty in public life.
No lokpal will help. Lokpal will be just another speed breaker.
I hope an pray that our strong and assertive PM is able to institunalise honesty like Mr Lee, erstwhile PM of Singapore.
God bless him with health and long life for OUR SAKE.

Have you noticed that due diligence is being done with PSU Banks top brass - most of the CMDs are political appointees. Quietly they are being sorted out. At their level the sums involved are in thousands of crores. I have been given to understand that suspect General Officers in the armed forces and DRDO organisation are under scrutiny. They too will be sorted out and I am glad if that is correct. But these are Central Govt organisations.As for the states the Central Govt can do nothing. For the States you require people like Nitish Kumar who cleaned the aegean stables considerably. He required more than 5 years.The ex Governor of Maharastra who recently decided to go on long leave did not permit Ashok Chavan to be queried in the Adarsh scam. Ajit Pawar is not being questioned about the irrigation projects - Central Govt can do nothing.Secondly we are very confused people. We condone someone for 15 years even if removal of poverty is no where on the horizon however are unwilling to give any time to the present PM.
